Drummer legend "The Rev"

Avenged sevenfold drummer, James Owen Sullivan or familiarly called "The Rev" died on December 28, 2009. an overdose of prescription drugs and alcohol. examiner reported that the rev acute polydrug intoxication due to suffering from the combined effects of Oxycodone, Oxymorphone, Diazepam / Nordiazepam and ethanol.

The rev died at his home in Hunting beach, California. He was buried in a private ceremony on January 6, 2010. funeral avenged sevenfold guitarist, Synyster Gates delivered a speech at the funeral of drummer avenged sevenfold.

The rev is a very powerful drummer, is not only famous for its mastery in playing the drums but he is also well known as a friendly person. to fans and friends. he also has a very high sense of humor.

The rev to know playing drums at the age of 6 years, he bought a set of drums by his father. the rev is a very naughty, he never went to prison seven times, one reason is the fight in the bar.
The rev also was a multi-talented, he's good at singing, playing piano, playing guitar. before joining the band avenged sevenfold he had been a vocalist in the band Pinkly-smooth.

A Mad Bomber

Bikini Bottom, a city under the sea. There lived Spongebob and all of his friends. Spongebob is a chef in the Krusty Krab. His boss is Mr. Krab.

One day, Spongebob was at the Krusty Krab, business was slow, and things were calm. Until…

"Spongebob," said Eugene. "I need you to take out the trash."

"Sure thing, Eugene."

Spongebob took the trash out to the dumpster. He was admiring the perfect day, where he thought nothing could go wrong, but it did. There was suddenly an explosion. Spongebob lay on his stomach, face down, severely burned. Eugene and Squidward ran out to the side.

"Mother of God," said Eugene. "Spongebob, what the [bleep] happened out here!"

"I don't know," said Spongebob. He was still burned, but sponges don't feel burns the way others do.

Later, the FBI came and investigated.

"Mr. Eugene Krabs," said the head agent. "This bomb was purposely left here, looks like there's a mad bomber on the loose."

"A MAD BOMBER," screamed Spongebob. I got to go home to Patrick!"

With that Spongebob ran home as fast as he could. He feared that there would be more bomb attacks. But besides that, he was more focused on who the Mad Bomber was. He thought maybe Gary escaped again and began planting bombs, or maybe Squidward who has threatened to kill Spongebob before. But Spongebob just cared about seeing his partner again. He opened the front door to his home and ran inside. Patrick was sitting on the couch, watching the news story about the bomb. He was happy to see Spongebob home safe.

"Spongebob," said Patrick. "Are you okay baby?"

"I'm fine," said Spongebob. "We have to be careful, sweetheart, the FBI said that there was a Mad Bomber, and that it's likely he'll strike again." We have to keep our eyes out"

Spongebob was interrupted by a loud booming noise, coming from next door. He looked at the window and saw a giant hole on the side of Squidward's house. A few second later, the entire thing collapsed.

"OH MY GOD," screamed Spongebob.

Spongebob and Patrick went outside to inspect the damage at Squidward's house, and see if Squidward was there.

"WHAT THE [bleep] IS GOING ON HERE," screamed Squidward. "IT WAS YOU TWO, WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO MY HOUSE. I'M CALLING THE COPS!"

"No, Squidward please," said Spongebob. "It wasn't us!"

Squidward called the cops anyway. They came and took Spongebob and Patrick in for questioning.

My favorite Indonesian Drummer

Yesaya Wilander Echa Soemantri or was familiarly called Echa, was my favorite Indonesian drummer. I liked him because he was a very great drummer, he played drums in many bands, such as: Tompi, Ello, Erwin Gutawa Orchresta and Yovie & Nuno, and servant of God in the church. Echa was born on July 7, 1989 in Jogjakarta is starting to beat the drums since the age of 3 years. Echa said he did not want half-hearted in playing drums, he not only played in one stream of music but many streams, such as jazz, gospel, rock, and pop music. Although he's a musician but he is also a fan of the sport, Echa very fond of German soccer team and Manchester United. There's a funny reason why Echa liked German soccer team, started Echa selected as the endorsed Sonor Drums, Sonor drums like he was so well liked football team his native country of Germany. Now he is believed to be a product endorsement resonant drums, as well as products and Paiste cymbals evans drumhead. Echa not only good at playing the drums but he also mastered several other instruments, such as: keyboard, Bass, and Guitar

Snare Drum

The snare drum or side drum is a widely used unpitched percussion instrument. It is often used in orchestras, marching bands and concert bands, drum corps and many other applications.



It is the center of the drum kit, the most prominent drum in most marching and stage bands, and the instrument that students of both orchestral and kit drumming learn to play first.
The snare drum is almost always double-headed, with rattles (called snares) of gut, metal wire or synthetics stretched across one or both heads.

overall, Snare Drum is the most important part of the drum set. Snare drum is the keys and the bottom of drum kit, because the sound of snare drum so easy listening and can make people who heard that sound is feeling enjoy. hahaha... And that's the reason why snare drum is often used in orchestras, marching band and concert bands, drum corps and many other applications.

In pop and rock music, where the snare drum is used as a part of a drum set, most of the backbeats and accented notes on the snare drum are played as rim shots, because to the ever increasing demand for the typical sharp and high volume sound. In more Latin and/or Jazz music, notes may be played as rim clicks where the sticks back end is placed on the edge of the top head and forced downward on the rim to the opposite side, to keep a more smooth and syncopated beat. The so-called "ghost notes" are very light "filler notes" played in between the backbeats in genres like funk, rhythm and blues. The famous drum roll is produced by alternatively bouncing the sticks on the drum head striving for a controlled rebound. A similar effect can be obtained by playing alternated double stokes on the drum, creating a double stroke roll, or very fast single strokes, creating a single stroke roll. The snares are a fundamental ingredient to the drum roll as they help blend together distinct strokes that are therefore perceived as a single sustained sound. The snare drum is also a very good tool to use to get used to the drumset without playing a full drumset.

Bass Drum

 Bass drum is one of  the biggest part among drum kit/drum set especially in the modern drum.  And bass drum is the source of  a low pitch or tone. Bass drum ispercussion instrument and vary in size and are used in several musical genres.

 The type usually seen or heard in orchestral, concert band music is the orchestral, or concert bass drum (in Italian: gran cassa, gran tamburo). It is the largest drum of the orchestra.The pitched bass drum, generally used in marching bands and drum corps. This is tuned to a specific pitch and is usually played in a set of three to six drums.

The kit bass drum may be more heavily muffled than the classical bass drum, and it is popular for drummers to use a pillow, blanket, or professional muffler inside the drum, resting against the batter head, to dampen the blow from the pedal, and produce a shorter "thud". Different beaters have different effects, and felt, wood and plastic that is popular. Bass drums sometimes have a tom-tom mount on the top.

Size of bass drum, in a drum kit, the bass drum is much smaller than in the traditional orchestral use, most commonly 20 or 22 inches (51 or 56 cm) in diameter. Sizes range from 16 to 28 inches (41 to 71 cm) in diameter while depths range for 14 to 22 inches (36 to 56 cm), with 16 or 18 in (41 or 46 cm) being normal.

The standard bass drum size of past years was 20 in × 14 in (51 cm × 36 cm), with 22 in × 18 in (56 cm × 46 cm) being the current standard. Many manufacturers are now publishing the 'power drum' concept as with tom-toms, with an 18 in (46 cm) depth (22×18 in) to further lower the drum's fundamental note.

Mike Portnoy’s original name is Michael Stephen Portnoy. He was born in 20 april 1967, He is an ex-drummer of DREAM THEATER band. He is one of the DREAM THEATERS band founder. Since 1986 Mike portnoy with DREAM THEATER was released about 10 albums. DREAM THEATER  was the main role model of scene progressive metal music in the world. Mike Portnoy had became the best drummer in the world 23 times by Modern Drummer Magazine. And now he became additional drummer of Avenged Sevenfold band repale Jimmy “The Rev”.

Thomas Lang was born in August, 5 1967, He is the founding of Los angeles-based progressive/avant garde metal trio. He had played drum since age 5. Beside lessons at local music school and private tuition, he also trained at Vienna conservatory of music. And after leaving the conservatory in 1985, he began working professionally as a session musician, he played for many artist such as Kelly Clarkson, Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Wetlife, etc. In 1995 Lang released his debut solo project mediator which was the topped chart in Europe and garnered positive reviews.

 

Tony Royster was born in October, 9  1984, he is American drummer. Tony’s father began to teach him how to play the drums at age 3. Tony is known for winning the Guitar Center National Drum-Off competition Hollywood in 1995 at age 11. In 1997 he was the Modern Drummer festival, being the youngest to shock the crowd. Most  recently,  Tony joined Joe Jonas' band on tour in the United Kingdom in Fall 2011 On August 22, 2011.
